Project: Dining Room in Private Residence
A New Space for Wining and Dining
A Victorian home needed an update. Specifically, a room for dining and relaxing. The client asked for wainscoting and a color palette that was in keeping with the home’s 100-year history. Because she and her husband both have demanding jobs, they needed someone to liaison with contractors and oversee the renovations. Andie Day happily took on that role. For the new dining space, we converted a room that was originally the kitchen, removed all traces of its former function and worked with the client to choose materials and colors. The result was a truly collaborative effort that resulted in a dining/sitting room which beautifully captured the spirit of the home’s Victorian heritage.
